UPDATED: I’m literally sweating from every part of my body – Surviving Summer pregnant

After the heat wave over the first May bank holiday weekend and the recent summer weather including today, I realised I am no way ready for the summer let alone being pregnant for nearly all of it! There are 6 areas that I have identified as issues that need some analysis to help me survive:

  1. How to cool down
  2. Dealing with sweating
  3. Dressing  properly
  4. Staying hydrated
  5. Managing being busy
  6. Dealing with Hayfever

I have asked around mums and on social media, joined online forums and researched the internet for solutions to how to deal with these and here is what I have tried and tested (majority of the product links for Boots as you get extra points for purchases especially as a member of the Boots parenting club):

Don’t lower yourself to respond! My first experience with Twitter Trolls!

As a hopeless romantic, I have been looking forward to the royal wedding for weeks! One of the main attractions for me like any fashion thinking female was seeing the dress! The dress is should a big deal for a wedding (well I think it is anyway) and I couldn’t wait to see what Meghan had chosen! She has all the world designers to choose from so who was it going to be….

Seeing a quick glance of the dress in the car on the way to the ceremony, I saw the top part which look like a thick boat necked dress with no detail but hoped that there was more to the dress when we see her get out of the car!

Literally I’m going to lose my S*#t! – Mental Health Awareness Week Guide to Stress Management

There is nothing that I crave more than a Duvet Day when I am feeling stressed! It is important to understand and know how to manage stress in day to day lives before it can become dangerous and you could become very ill. With this in mind, Mental Health Foundation’s Mental Health Awareness Week 2018 theme is: ‘Stress: are we coping?’ Their aim is to ensure that people are aware of what is means,  what the signs are and provide some practical advice to manage and prevent it as they want to move towards a less stressed nation.

You are NOT Alone! – Coronation Street’s suicide story raises awareness to male suicide

Having heard about the story line for Coronation Street about Male suicide, it was great to hear that one of the soaps who have a vast following, were able to tackle this issue and raise awareness.  I personally couldn’t watch it as it brought back some terrible memories of when I lost someone to suicide last year but reading some of the articles following the broadcast, it makes me happy that people are starting to talk about it.

It was noted that the writers for the story line has  been working closely with mental health charities including Samaritans and especially CALM. The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is an award-winning charity dedicated to preventing male suicide, the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK.  For more information about the charity, follow the link: https://www.thecalmzone.net/

I’m not CRAZY B*!#h (but I can be) – What you should know before dating someone with Bipolar

There are so many delusions surrounding what to expect when you date someone who has Bipolar. There has been so much noise out there now about Bipolar as there has been yet another celebrity who has been diagnosed with the illness. Going through the list of the celebrities that I am aware of and the personalities that they all have, they are all completely different. Some of them have been battling with the illness for world and just goes to show that you can’t tell whether someone has it or not.

I am writing a list for you of a few things that you should know before dating someone with bipolar. This is not an official list and please note that this is based on my experience of the illness. Many people handle the illness differently therefore their lists may differ from mine. I do suggest that if you are dating someone with bipolar, do some research as it will help both you and them. Just having a basic understanding can help eliminate those feelings that you’re to blame for our mood changes and as you will be able to help towards identifying and stopping triggers etc. I know this all sounds scary and a lot to handle for most people, but we are not more hassle than its worth. We just struggle with emotions; the good and bad days are more intense and need some extra support at times.

Never having the ‘just been dug up’ look – Preparing for changes in routines – Make up Routine

Gone are the days when I only needed a couple of cheap make up product to ensure that I looked like I hadn’t just been dug up!

No longer a high school kid who have the entire No.17 and Rimmel ranges. The concealer stick, mascara, pressed powder and glaze lip gloss (this could of been from the local chemist as long as it shiny) were the essentials. My love was white eye liner! I even wore it right into my 20s! #oldhabitsdiehard

Then would use Barry M for the high school house parties or nights out with fake ID and underage drinking.

Can you imagine how many ex’s I have that think I’m a psycho!?! – Intro into relationships

With regards to my blog, I promised I would cover all sorts of topics and know I have been spamming the front page with pregnancy posts therefore I am going to keep my promise and talk about something different.  The subject of choice is relationships. First things first I am going to cover what it is like dating someone with bipolar.  Once you have an insight into what it is like then I will talk about different dating situations that I have been in. These situations range from ones which led to engagements, one where I had a relationship via FaceTime, lush driven  to dangerous obsession ones,  and one which I will refer to as a ‘Stella’ situation (if you know what I mean). There has been some good ones too I promise like ones where its like dating your best friend, ones where I was worshipped and of course my ‘happy ever after’ 🤵🏻👰🏻.
